At our friend's baby shower, we both noticed we were without a significant other. After the baby shower, he sent an Instagram friend request, and I accepted (not too quickly though lol). Very soon after liking a few pictures and liking a story, a direct message was sent. Our first conversation would then lead onto our first date ♡

On the day we celebrated our three-year dating anniversary, we went to a beautiful waterfront park in Ossining, NY. It was a location I mentioned wanting to visit for the scenic views. As ZJ took pictures of us (at least that's what I thought was happening), he recorded what would be one of the most special moments of my life. He got on one knee and I cried out "YES!". And just like that, we were engaged ♡

When you know, you know. Future life plans were made, and his job transfer happened a lot sooner than we expected. We wanted to do what was right before God and legally wed before moving in together. Less than two months of being engaged, we tied the knot to start our life together. A wedding ceremony took place in Queens, NY at our church with our immediate family present. It was a beautiful day ♡
