Is there a dress code?

Our dress code is Formal Attire & Colour, Colour, Colour! What weather can we expect?

Answer

Typical weather at the end of October is between 17°c to 23°c with sun and clouds - so this is what we're hoping for! The whole day will be hosted outdoors, so we recommend to be prepared for the weather. We would recommend grass appropriate shoes (your stilettos might sink!), and to bring a jacket for the evening.

The whole wedding will take place at Finca Les Palmeres Benidorm; Partida Els Tolls, 03502 Benidorm, Alicante, Spain

What is the easiest way to get to the venue?

Answer

Finca Les Palmeres Benidorm is a short 5 minute drive from the heart of Benidorm. Due to the venue being so close to the center we have not arranged transport, so that our guests can arrive and leave at their own convenience. You can book a taxi yourself, or ask if the reception staff at your hotel can arrange one for you. If you tell your driver "Finca Les Palmeres", they will know where to go. What time does the day begin?

Answer

We ask that guests please arrive between 15:45 and 16:00, so that you can grab a drink, and be welcomed & seated before the ceremony begins at 16:15.

Answer

There is parking available at the venue.

Is the venue easily accessible?

Answer

The main entrance does include a staircase, but we also have an alternative entrance available for guests who may need assistance or prefer not to use the stairs. If you require the alternative entrance, please let us know in advance, and we’ll be happy to accommodate. Please note, the venue is located on grass, so as long as you’re comfortable walking or using a wheelchair on grass, there shouldn’t be any issues with accessibility. If you have any concerns or need further assistance, don’t hesitate to reach out!

Can I give a speech or performance for the couple?

Answer

Yes! If you wish to give a speech or share a performance, whether it be a poem, song, or even a dance routine then please let us know via email. You can contact us via hartgrave.laporte@gmail.com. If you wish for this to be a surprise then please contact Mia's Maid of Honour, Darija Injac. She will have direct contact with our evening DJ and will be able to arrange a time slot for you. You can contact her via email to: darija112@gmail.com. We may end up having a limitation on this, so it'll be a case of first come, first serve!

Are gifts expected?

Answer

Your presence at our wedding is the greatest gift we could ask for, especially since this is a destination wedding. We understand the expenses involved in travel and accommodation, and we are truly grateful that you are able to join us to celebrate our special day. We sincerely do not expect any additional gifts. However, if you do wish to or insist on contributing something extra, we would be honored to accept a gift in the form of a honeymoon donation, which can be gifted to us on the day itself. We will have a card box available at the venue. Alternatively, you can gift us a honeymoon donation via bank transfer to the account listed below. E.C. Can I bring a +1?

Answer

We respectfully request that our celebration remains intimate, and therefore, only the individuals addressed in the invitation are invited to attend.

Are there any other events to be aware of?

Answer

Yes! The day after the wedding Mia's parents will be hosting a post wedding celebration for all of our guests. Date: Sunday 26th October Time: 14:00-17:00 Location: Indigo Restaurant Terrace, Hotel Melia Villaitana Address: Avda. Alcalde Eduardo Zaplana, 7. Benidorm, Spain We hope to see you there, so that we can have a final catch up along with some drinks and snacks before the weekend comes to a close!

Which airport should I fly into?

Answer

We would recommend to fly into Alicante ALC Airport, Spain. The center of Benidorm is a 43 minute drive from the airport, so you can either choose to get a taxi from the taxi rank at the airport, or you could take a bus. (You can see more about this in the "Travel" section of the site)

Are there any travel requirements?

Answer

Seeing as this is a destination wedding, there will be travel involved for all parties, unless you're lucky enough to live in Spain! So please make sure to check your passports and your country's travel regulations in advance. Spain is part of the EU, so this may impact those traveling from the UK - don't forget to check your passport in time, as the passport renewal process can be quite lengthy! Travel regulations from the UK to the EU now mean that your passport should be valid for at least 3 months beyond the period of your stay. There are also expected changes to travel regulations from the UK to Spain in mid-2025 - so please stay up to date! You can view the GOV UK Spain travel requirements here: https://www.gov.uk/foreign-travel-advice/spain/entry-requirements If you are traveling from The Netherlands then there shouldn't be any specific requirements, aside from a valid ID that you can travel on.

Wat voor weer kunnen we verwachten?

Answer

Typisch weer eind oktober ligt tussen 17°C en 23°C, met zon en wolken - dat hopen we ook! De hele dag vindt buiten plaats, dus we raden aan om je voor het weer voor te bereiden. Draag geschikt schoeisel voor gras (je stilettos kunnen wegzakken!), en neem voor de avond iets mee om je warm te houden.

Wat is de makkelijkste manier om de locatie te bereiken?

Answer

Finca Les Palmeres Benidorm ligt op slechts 5 minuten rijden van het centrum van Benidorm. Omdat de locatie zo dicht bij het centrum ligt, hebben we geen vervoer geregeld, zodat gasten op eigen gemak kunnen komen en gaan. We raden aan om van tevoren een taxi te boeken! Hoelaat wordt ik verwacht?

Answer

We vragen gasten om tussen 15:45 en 16:00 uur aan te komen, zodat je welkom kunt worden geheten en plaats kunt nemen voor de ceremonie, die om 16:15 uur begint.

Er is parkeergelegenheid bij de locatie.

Is de locatie toegankelijk?

Answer

De hoofd-ingang heeft een trap, maar er is ook een alternatieve ingang voor gasten die hulp nodig hebben of de trap liever niet gebruiken. Als je de alternatieve ingang nodig hebt, laat het ons dan van tevoren weten, en we zorgen ervoor dat dit geregeld wordt. Houd er rekening mee dat de locatie op gras ligt, dus zolang je comfortabel kunt lopen of je rolstoel op gras kunt gebruiken, zou er geen probleem moeten zijn met de toegankelijkheid. Als je zorgen hebt of extra hulp nodig hebt, aarzel dan niet om contact met ons op te nemen!

Mag ik een speech of optreden geven voor het bruidspaar?

Answer

Ja! Als je een toespraak of optreden wilt geven, zoals een gedicht, lied of zelfs een dans, laat het ons dan weten via e-mail. Je kunt contact met ons opnemen via hartgrave.laporte@gmail.com. Als je het als verrassing wilt doen, neem dan contact op met Mia's getuige, Darija Injac. Zij heeft direct contact met onze DJ voor de avond en kan een tijdslot voor je regelen. Je kunt haar bereiken via e-mail: darija112@gmail.com. Er kan een beperking zijn in het aantal toespraken, dus het wordt wie het eerst komt, het eerst maalt!

Worden er geschenken verwacht?

Answer

Je aanwezigheid op onze bruiloft is het grootste cadeau dat we kunnen vragen, zeker aangezien het een destination wedding is. We begrijpen de kosten van reizen en accommodatie, en zijn ontzettend dankbaar dat je erbij kunt zijn om samen onze speciale dag te vieren. We verwachten daarom geen extra geschenken. Als je toch iets wilt geven, zouden we graag een bijdrage voor onze huwelijksreis accepteren. Je kunt je bijdrage op de dag zelf in de geschenkenbox op de locatie plaatsen, of overmaken naar: E.C. Mag ik een +1 meenemen?

Answer

We vragen onze gasten om geen extra gasten mee te nemen naar de bruiloft. De namen van de genodigde staan op de uitnodiging. Wij hopen deze speciale dag te kunnen vieren met onze vrienden en familie.

Naar welke luchthaven moet ik vliegen?

Answer

We raden aan om naar de luchthaven Alicante ALC (Spanje) te vliegen. Het centrum van Benidorm ligt op 43 minuten rijden van de luchthaven, dus je kunt een taxi nemen vanaf de taxistandplaats op de luchthaven of de bus nemen. (Zie de "Reizen" sectie op de website voor meer informatie)

Zijn er reisvereisten?

Answer

Aangezien dit een destination wedding is, moet iedereen reizen, tenzij je in Spanje woont! Zorg ervoor dat je je paspoort en de reisregels van jouw land van tevoren controleert. Als je uit Nederland reist, zijn er geen specifieke vereisten, behalve een geldig ID waarmee je kunt reizen.
