FAQs

Question

Is the resort kid friendly?

Answer

Yes! The main resort, the Reserve, and the Grand Reserve are all kid friendly. Guests can bring their children on vacation, our ceremony and reception are adults only. There are babysitting services available at the resort.

Question

Is there a difference between the Paradisus Palma Real and Paradisus Punta Cana?

Answer

Yes! Please only book your stay at the Paradisus Palma Real. While the resorts are sister resorts, you will have to pay a fee to enter the Palma Real for the ceremony and reception. They are NOT the same property. Please contact our travel agent, Robin, to book travel.

Question

What's the difference between the main resort (listed as Palma Real), the Royal Service, the Reserve, and the Grand Reserve?

Answer

The main part of the resort is the Palma Real. This is where all resort events occur (shows, scheduled activities, etc) as well as our ceremony and reception. The Royal Service is located next to the main part of the resort and is ADULTS ONLY. There is a pool area roped off that is only available for those in the Royal Service. This is where Zachery and Elise will be staying. The Reserve is considered a higher level of service, but the rooms in the Reserve are located in another part of the resort. It is about a 10 minute walk to the main pool/hub, but it does contain it's own pool and buffet areas as well as exclusive restaurants. Golf cart rides to the main hub are also available if you do not want to walk. The Reserve is kid friendly The Grand Reserve is a step above the regular reserve. They also have an exclusive part of the resort, but it is 5-10 minute walk from the main hub. The Grand Reserve is kid friendly. The Royal, Grand, and Grand Reserve all have exclusive beach areas

Question

Where should we eat?

Answer

The buffets at the resort are great and offer an array of food options for everyone. If you prefer to dine at one of the restaurants at night, you need to make a reservation. It's easiest if you book the reservation the first night you arrive. Room service is also available for everyone - if you are staying at the regular Palma Real, there is a $5 delivery charge. For Royal, Reserve, Grand Reserve, etc there is no charge. Buffets, however, are open for late night munchies.

Question

Can I stay at a different resort and still come to the wedding?

Answer

Yes, while the Paradisus Palma Real is amazing, you are welcome to stay at another resort. Please note you will have to pay a $35 per person fee to the resort in order to attend the ceremony & reception.

Question

What are some key items we should definitely brings with us?

Answer

If you are planning on staying more than 3 days, we suggests you bring 2 bottles of suntan lotion. Tipping is very common - bring a bunch of singles ($100+) with you to tip your servers, bartenders, etc Download the messenger app "WhatsApp" in order to communicate via wifi with people in our wedding group as well as your butler at the resort.

Question

Who is Robin Shatzkin? Do we need to book our trip through her?

Answer
