Mitch and I first met at the gym on the ETSU campus when he was a first semester senior and I was a freshman. I went to the gym a lot to play basketball and in December, right before winter break, we met for the first time. I saw him shooting at an open goal with one of his friends when I decided to walk up and join them (little did I know I would be walking up to my future husband). We had a pretty casual and short conversation before going our separate ways into Christmas break. In January, coming back from break, we ran into each other in the gym again. This time was much different. We instantly had a connection and Mitch later followed me on Instagram where I proceeded to message him because I didn’t think he would. Our casual December conversation turned into texting until 3am, gym dates followed by Cookout, and Mitch picking me up from my dorm to drive me to my car in the rain when I had to go to work and parked too far away. It was in these little moments we fell pretty hard for each other and soon decided we would spend forever together. 3 years and 9 months after meeting Mitch, I get to marry him!
