If you love books (or even if you don't), and haven't checked out Powell's yet, it's a must see. Powell’s City of Books is the largest used and new bookstore in the world, occupying an entire city block and housing approximately one million books. There's even a rare book room on the top floor.

Low lit dive bar that is filled to the brim with odd and creepy trinkets that come alive and artwork that watches you. Bar secret...Ask for a 50/50 split of their frozen grasshopper and frozen coffee mixed and you will NOT be disappointed.
Cute neighborhood bar that specializes in whiskey. This was the bride and groom's favorite spot (and were there once a week at least) when they lived in the Overlook area for four years. Also, the same owners as Tough Luck, so you can't go wrong.
