TPA - Tampa International Airport

The Tampa International Airport is accessible via all the major airlines, as well as discount airlines such as Spirit and Frontier. Our wedding ‘extravaganza’ will be held in one of the renowned Clearwater/St. Pete Beaches called Madeira Beach. An Uber from the airport will cost about $40-50. Once you get to Madeira Beach, you don’t need a car to enjoy dining, entertainment and shopping. Besides being right on the beach, we will be just a couple of blocks from the famous John’s Pass Village. There is a trolley that goes south to Treasure Island and St. Pete Beach or north to Redington, Indian Rocks/Shores, and Clearwater beaches that costs $2.50/trip or $5.00/daily (www.psta.net or 727 540-1900 for discounted offers and schedules). The weather in October averages a high/low of 84/70 degrees and it can be a little windy, so bring a sweater or light jacket. And you'll need sunscreen, for sure!

Barefoot Beach Club

This will be our homebase so we hope you love this place as much as we did! We like that’s it is large enough to accommodate us all but small enough to feel like we have the place to ourselves. This hotel is right on the beach and has two pools and a spa, and bbq grills for our use with picnic tables and a rooftop space for sun and fun. All rooms have a kitchenette, a balcony and wi-fi, and there are plenty of 2-bedroom suites that have a full size refrigerator, a stove and an oven and a living room. And as mentioned, it is so close to dining, entertainment things and things to do! Also, in case you were wondering, we are planning on having the wedding ceremony on the beach at the hotel and a party afterwards on the rooftop of the hotel on Saturday!
