Joe and Elise first crossed paths during their senior year of high school, when Elise was working at a frozen yogurt shop just minutes from Joe’s childhood home in Dayton. Once they discovered they would both be attending college out of state in the Southeast, the possibility of something more began to take shape. During the spring semester of their freshman year, Joe found plenty of reasons to visit Elise at Wake Forest. Over the following months, the two continued to grow closer and get to know one another. After a sorority date party in March 2022, Joe and Elise made things official. For the next three years, they navigated long distance between Wake Forest and Virginia Tech. They enjoyed their visits and relied heavily on FaceTime. Breaks from school were always special because they could spend time together at home in Dayton. After graduation, the two moved to Columbus, OH. In September, Joe proposed to Elise at Highbanks Metro Park, a place where she grew up hiking and where Joe and Elise love to spend time together today. They cannot wait to be married and celebrate with all of their closest friends and family in July!
