It was Superbowl Sunday, and neither Charlie nor Elise was watching the game. As he strolled, just a little bit late, into the 6:00 mass at Saint Ann's, Charlie saw a beautiful girl and decided to sit right in front of her. Being as smooth as he was, he turned around and asked Elise for the page number of the current song. She kindly pointed at her book, mouthing (two-sixty-nine) and thought about this attractive fellow for the rest of Mass. When the ceremony was over, Charlie waited eagerly outside the church in hopes that he could get this radiant creature to laugh at a joke or two, and maybe go out for coffee. They met and talked about many things in a short amount of time, neither realizing that coffee was to have very little to do with what happened next.
