Summertime formal. Since our ceremony is outdoors, we want our guests to dress comfortably, as it could be quite warm in the late afternoon. Sundresses are great, as are khakis and button up shirts -- ties and jackets are not expected. The wedding party will be wearing grey, white and various shades pink/dusty rose!
To make sure you get parking, arrive 20 minutes early or so. We also recommend taking the shuttle from Holy Trinity Cathedral up to Mt. Tabor -- see the Transportation question for more on that.
Yes. We'll have shuttles to take guests from Holy Trinity Cathedral up to Mt. Tabor for the ceremony. Please arrive at Holy Trinity by no later than 3:45 PM to take the shuttle. Buses will take guests back to Holy Trinity after the ceremony for the reception!
There's a parking lot very close to the Mt. Tabor Amphitheater, but it will likely fill up quickly. Please take the shuttle from Holy Trinity to Mt. Tabor, if you're concerned about finding parking. It will make things easy! See the Schedule section on our site for more details. For our Reception at Holy Trinity Cathedral, there's a large parking lot and plenty of street parking.
We're registered on Zola, Anthropologie, and REI -- check the Registry tab on the website for details.
There are lots of great options for hotels in Portland. We recommend looking at the Jupiter Hotel, The Benson, McMenamins Crystal Hotel, Residence Inn by Marriott Portland Downtown/Convention Center, or the Eastside Lodge. Booking through Airbnb and VRBO are also great options, if you want to rent a house or an apartment -- we recommend looking at these neighborhoods in SE Portland: Sellwood, Ladd's Addition, Laurelhurst, Sunnyside, Richmond, or South Tabor.
We'd love a final head count by July 28th. But the sooner the better!
