After months of small talk and snap chats. We finally met for a few drinks. When I met Austin he made me laugh and something about him was different that made me think, this is worth a shot!
Austin took me to Navy Pier to look at Christmas Lights. After much persuasion, he got me to ride the Ferris wheel (I’m not a fan of heights). After having a funny, anxiety filled experience on the Ferris wheel. I was walking off and turned to look for him. As I turned around he was down on one knee! It was a beautiful, special moment.
The birth of our beautiful son, Noah. Austin was amazing in the delivery room and seeing the overwhelming emotion from him when our son arrived filled my heart with even more love.
Austin knows I’m extremely jumpy … one day while I was at work and he was off all day. Unbeknownst to me, he spent all day rigging up a dummy with a mask in the basement and set up video. When I arrived home, tired, he asked me to grab his laundry downstairs. I said ok, even though it was the last thing I wanted to do after a long day. Headed downstairs, opened the door to the laundry room and a man (dummy) was hanging in the doorway with a scary mask! I screamed and best part is I get to relive it ALL the time as he recorded it and posted it on his IG.
