Jesse and Elise met on January 3rd, 2014 at Omaha Jitterbugs for a swing dancing event with friends. They were paired up to dance together and learned they had more mutual friends and the spark was started. They met up for a double date the next week with Elise's friend Grace who is the source of it all ;) After postponing their wedding twice because of COVID, Jesse and Elise are finally getting married!

On December 18, 2019, Jesse and Elise were on their way to their annual Christmas date - this year in Malibu, CA. Prior to their drive, Jesse picked out Elise’s outfit, left a note and a rose, then picked her up in a Tesla that he had rented for the evening. On their way up the Pacific Coast Highway, Jesse mentioned that he needed to stop at his friend’s house before dinner to pick up something. As they pulled into a private neighborhood along the beach, Elise was starting to become suspicious, but when he didn’t invite her inside, she thought nothing of it. After a few minutes went by, Jesse motioned for her to come inside. As she walked in, their favorite song was playing and lights and photos lined the stairs to a balcony. Elise walked up the steps to see Jesse waiting for her, with the sunset and beach behind him. He then proposed and they flew to Omaha the next day to celebrate with friends and family.
