On May 30 2020, their lives changed forever. Troy took Elisabeth on a date to their favorite spot, Ray’s on the River. Like they always do, they decided to walk the river while waiting for their meal. Little did Elisabeth know, she was about to get asked the question she had always dreamed of. On the most beautiful Summer night, Troy turned to her and asked “Are you ready to spend the rest of your life with me?” At that exact moment, Troy dropped to one knee and asked Elisabeth to marry him. As he placed the ring on her finger, she was in total shock. Although she cant remember exactly what he said, she said "YES!", without having to think about it. She still says it was the happiest moment of her entire life. After they said "yes" to forever with each other, they got to enjoy a perfect evening by the river, and Elisabeth had no idea that the surprise wasn’t over yet. As they finished up their magical dinner, Troy told her to close her eyes as he drove her to one more stop. He guided her through the house they arrived at, and with her eyes still closed, he handed her a glass of champagne and told her to “open up”. As she did, she saw dozens of their friends and family members standing down below the deck, cheering and congratulating them on their engagement! What a special moment — after months in quarantine — to see all your friends standing in one spot ready to shower you with love. Troy and Elisabeth are so thankful for the love and support their family and friends have shown them over the years, and they’re beyond excited to start their life together as husband and wife.
