FAQs

The Wedding Website of Elisabeth Bombell and Steven Judson
Question

When should I RSVP by?

Answer

As early as possible!! The final date to RSVP is September 1st. If you don't, you'll have to set up a picnic in the park to watch the fun from afar, which would be a huge bummer.

Question

Are you registered? Where?

Answer

We are approaching our registry with a low-waste and experience-focused mindset. We have had our home set up for a while now, and we don't want to add more waste to this world by replacing working items with new ones in the name of a wedding - especially when there are so many others in need. Rather, we want to focus our efforts on life experiences...traveling, building our family, and achieving our goals (and honestly - replenishing the savings we depleted paying for this wedding). Because of this, we have set up cash funds, which you can donate to right on this website! If you are website cautious, we will also take a check ;) In addition to our registry, we are asking guests to consider bringing a small children's board book to donate to the Advocate Children's Hospital NICU Literacy Program. Books must be new, as the hospital cannot accept used books for infection prevention reasons.

Question

What time should I arrive at the ceremony?

Answer

At least 10-15 minutes early so you don't spoil the dress reveal. EB has to have her main character moment!

Question

What is the parking situation?

Answer

The hotel block has free parking, which is rare around O'hare!! Both Ascension Catholic Church and The Shoreline Room have small parking lots, but space is limited. There is also street parking options at both sites. The Shoreline Room is attached to The Foxtail on the Lake restaurant, and the parking lot tends to fill in later in the day. Please keep that in mind and be patient - you may even be able to use their valet service if you want.

Question

Can I bring a date? How about kids?

Answer

Your invitation is addressed to exactly who is invited to our reception. We unfortunately had to limit due to a small venue size, so not everyone gets a date. The reception is mainly adult-only, with a couple exceptions for our little wedding party friends. We do welcome any kiddos at the ceremony though - so if you need to choose your childcare wisely, feel free to bring them to the church and leave them with a sitter for the reception.

Question

Livesteam Information!

Answer

We know it may be difficult for some of our family and friends to travel to Chicago, so we have arranged for a livestream of our wedding ceremony. Streaming will be set up via the Ascension Catholic Church youtube page, and information will be posted here as available.
