Due to the fact that this is an out-of-state wedding for most guests, we kindly ask that you RSVP two months before our wedding to accommodate travel and lodging plans. This means we need to have an RSVP by September 1st, 2024
Our wedding is going to consist of moodier & elegant colors like burgundy, midnight blue, ivory, deep forest green, bronze and metallic's. Feel free to coordinate your wardrobe!
The wedding will be taking place on Sunday, October 13, 2024. Please refer to the "Schedule" section on our website for maps & addresses to the venue. Our ceremony, cocktail hour & reception will all be at The Cheyenne Lodge, an offsite sister venue about 5 minutes (1.8mi) from the Broadmoor Hotel. We will be providing shuttles to transport guests to/from the hotels. Note that the ceremony will be outdoors, so pack a jacket in case it gets chilly!
Unless they are in the wedding, we are asking that this be an adults-only event. We hope you can make arrangements and come celebrate with us!
The wedding ceremony will be outdoors on the patio, weather permitting. Cocktail hour will be indoor/outdoor and the reception will be indoors in the Cheyenne Lodge. While we will have a fire pit and blankets available, we encourage you to bring a jacket or something warm to enjoy the night!
Yes - we will be providing a shuttle to and from the Broadmoor Hotel to the Cheyenne Lodge (roughly 5 minute drive) that will start at 3:45pm and end at 11pm.
We request that our guests dress in elegant cocktail attire (i.e. short or floor length cocktail dresses and suits & ties).
We are registered through Zola and items can be found on the “Registry” tab on our website. We appreciate any contribution made to help us plan for our future!
Yes, we have arranged for a block of rooms at The Broadmoor and have a discounted rate link for all Marriott locations in Colorado Springs. If you are flying into COS (Colorado Springs Airport), we recommend calling an Uber or taking a cab to your lodging. It's about a 20 minute drive from the airport to The Broadmoor hotel. We also recommend renting a car ahead of time in case you plan on exploring the area that weekend! If you plan on flying into DEN (Denver International Airport), we recommend renting a car or calling a car service ahead of time. A reliable company that we have used is Supreme Limo & Car Services and you can schedule pickup & drop-off's by calling them at (303)463-3300 (please tell them that Elisabeth Johnston referred you for her wedding).
Yes, we have a contingency plan in place. In the event of inclement weather, the ceremony will be moved to the indoor location at the venue. Rest assured, we will make every effort to ensure the celebration goes on smoothly.
We kindly ask that guests arrive at least 30 minutes before the scheduled start time of the ceremony to allow for seating and any last-minute adjustments. Arrive at 4:00pm and have a glass of champagne before we get seated!
Yes, we will be hosting a rehearsal dinner on Saturday, October 12th at The Golden Bee for the wedding party and immediate family members. Please reference your invitation or wedding event RSVP for attendance reference.
