Mark and Elisa went to Southeast High where they dated off and on and went their separate ways after highschool. They later learned they were actually in the same kindergarten class, but we'll save that story for another time! Fast Forward to 2011 when Mark and Elisa ran into each other through a mutual acquaintance, and that sparked the beginning of their beautiful love story. Elisa had two children, Kahmya and Brecken, who she cared and provided for as a single mother working full-time. Mark was a full-time student at Baker University working towards his Bachelors Degree and working part-time. Because of that, they had to be intentional and devote time and effort into seeing each other, which shortly turned into every spare minute of free time. Their chemistry and bond was the greatest it had ever been. After introducing Mark to the kids, they began to build bonds and relationships. Those relationships grew into Mark filling the void of their absent fathers and becoming a father figure to them. It was then that Elisa knew that she wanted to spend the rest of her life with Mark. After living with other family members for a few years, it was time to get their own place. It took some time to settle into a routine as just a family of 4, but they found "normalcy" and settled in just fine. A few years later in 2017, Mark, Elisa and the kids packed up all their belongings and relocated to Kansas City for work opportunities. It was always a dream of theirs to live in Kansas City, as it was a city they visited frequently and made amazing memories with the kids. Everything in their lives had started falling into place. Mark planned, what Elisa thought to be a birthday weekend for Mark, when he surprised her and proposed in August of 2020 at Sapphire Point in Dillon Colorado. Mark and Elisa have gone through the ups and downs of life together and have built a beautiful life and family. Their love, respect and devotion for one another have out weighed every trial they’ve been through and they’re happy and feel incredibly blessed to share their special day with you!
