♥ Welcome to Our Postponed Reception ♥ In 2012, their paths first crossed at University of Michigan- Flint, specifically in the weekly College Democrats meetings in the library. Kevin and Elisa started locking eyes during a study abroad trip to England in 2014. Kevin was all like, "I'm crazy about you. We should be together." And she was all like, "Nah, I'm not gonna listen to my heart." Fast forward to four years later...she finally listened to her heart. The happy couple started dating in February 2018. Elisa had just moved back to Michigan from Los Angeles. She spent the next six weeks volunteering in Tanzania, all the while Kevin was completing his third year of medical school. The first blissful year of dating was filled with many adventures, such as exploring Seattle, attending the Stratford Theatre Festival, camping near Lake Huron, spontaneously seeing "Hamilton" in Chicago, & adventuring in what would be their future home- New York City. In January 2019, Kevin traveled to Uganda for a six-week university medical work program while Elisa backpacked solo through eight African countries. And on February 16th, set on a very slippery rock under the beautiful Sipi Falls, Kevin proposed saying, "Elisa, I love you with so much of my heart that none is left to protest. I do love nothing in the world so well as you. Elisa Catherine Taylor, will you marry me?" Through her happy weeping, Elisa managed a joyous "YES!" They now live in the Bronx, NY where she works in the entertainment industry and he is a first-year resident of Family Medicine at Montefiore Hospital. Elisa and Kevin share a love of traveling, making homemade veggie chili and no-bake cookies, and going on long walks (while he goes on about philosophical notions and she stops to smell the flowers). Above all, they love their three precious cat babies - Rosie, Charlotte, and Theodore. They are thrilled to be spending a lifetime of love together & are so grateful to those sharing in the celebration!
