FAQs

Listed below are a couple of questions you may have before the big day! We hope you find this helpful!
Question

When should I RSVP?

Answer

Please RSVP by Sunday, August 24th.

Question

What if I'm having trouble RSVPing online?

Answer

Please RSVP through the wedding website, and if you are having trouble accessing the site in one browser, try another. The site can be a little glitchy with Chrome, so if you're running into that, try Safari. If you have any trouble RSVPing through the website and would like to reach out the couple personally to secure your seat, please reach out to the wedding coordinator Eden at eden@lastingmediagroup.com, and she will gladly answer any questions you may have!

Question

When should we arrive for the ceremony?

Answer

Please arrive and park between 3:30 and 4 pm. The ceremony will start at 4:30 pm, and we want to make sure everyone has enough time to park and get down to the ceremony sight before the bridal party arrives! Please arrive to the ceremony site by 4:20 pm.

Question

Where will we park?

Answer

There will be designated parking locations around the farm where you will be directed to park. Some parking locations will be further than others from the ceremony site, but there will be golf cart transportation provided to make the travel to the site easy. The couple will reach out with specific parking instructions closer to the date. Please look over them carefully and park in the correct area. There will be parking attendants at each parking location who will also be there to help with parking and provide directions on where your parking spot is located. This will ensure everyone has ample room and a specific parking location for their vehicle. Thank you!

Question

When is the reception?

Answer

The reception will begin at 6:30 pm, and include dinner, a bar, dancing, and a send off of the bride and groom around 10:00 pm.

Question

What's for dinner?

Answer

The Smoke Pit BBQ from Charlotte, NC! Delicious NC bbq and a variety of southern sides to accompany it will be served during the reception.

Question

What should I wear?

Answer

We kindly ask that ladies wear floor-length dresses. For the gentlemen, dress pants and a collared shirt. Jackets are encouraged, but full suits or ties are not required. Please, no jeans. The ceremony and reception will take place outdoors in the grass, so please plan footwear accordingly. We’re aiming for a look that’s polished and celebratory, without being overly formal. Think dressed-up but comfortable!

Question

What is the plus one policy?

Answer

The couple kindly asks that you do not bring a guest who was not specifically named on your invitation. A great deal of thought was put into creating a guest list that reflects the people who have been most present in the couple's lives and relationship. They truly appreciate your understanding and respect for our intentional choices, and can’t wait to celebrate!

Question

Can I bring a gift to the wedding?

Answer

We will have a place for gifts are cards to be placed at the wedding, but we encourage those who do want to gift us something from the registry to ship it to our townhome in Nashville!

Question

Where is the venue?

Answer

The venue is on Ellie's family's land in Western NC. Her mom grew up there and grandma still lives there. The family has owned the land for generations, and it is used as a tree farm. The ceremony will be held in "the bottom" down a hill from the Big House beside the creek that runs through the farm. The reception will be held in the yard of the Big House.

Question

What is the Big House?

Answer

The Big House is the house that Ellie's great-great grandfather built in 1907 that the family has used since.
