Elijah and Shayne first met at American River College on the track team. He was a sprinter and she was a thrower. She thought he was cute and asked him on a date, he said yes. After that first date, they quickly became inseparable making it a point to see each other EVERY. SINGLE. DAY of their first year of dating. Three years later they moved into their first place together. On their four year anniversary of living together and at seven and a half years of dating, Elijah planned a steak dinner and game night, which he and Shayne often did. This was different though, because at the end of the night, Shayne was led on a scavenger hunt through their apartment. Elijah had left handwritten notes for Shayne all around, leading her to her favorite spot in their apartment, where Elijah got down on one knee and proposed. And Shayne, said "YES!"
