January 2, 2020: WE SWIPED RIGHT! Shout out to the Bumble dating app. Still waiting on our first paycheck from Bumble for the success story we are so generously advertising. January 9, 2020 Our first date! Despite Eli being 6 hours late (thanks Army) we were both hooked from the start. In fact, Eli had already planned third and fourth dates before we even had our first, so he was hooked (or desperate?) even before the start! March 9, 2020 We had better hoped we liked each other by now because COVID was going to make sure there was no escaping. March 9th was the first official lockdown in Italy that restricted travel between cities. Sarah was living in Padova at the time and Eli in Vicenza, so with the threat of $1000 fines for breaking the rules of travel hanging over our heads, Sarah would wind up trapped in Vicenza for the foreseeable future. In fact, it has now been made apparent that Eli orchestrated the whole lockdown so Sarah would have to stay with him in Vicenza forever. September 21, 2020 WE GOT ENGAGED! *Hey Alexa, play September by Earth, Wind & Fire* On the Etretat Cliffs in Normandy, France Eli nervously popped the question, and Sarah shakily said no....then yes. She swears it was more of a " No freaking way this is actually happening right now!" but in reality, the actual first word that came out of her mouth was "no." Oops!! December 4, 2021 We almost got married! June 25, 2022 We are finally doing it! And can't wait to celebrate with you!
