We’re getting married!

Jan 06, 2023 We met at Elijah’s house on the day of Rosca de los Reyes, Jan 06. Certain members of our families thought we could be good friends and invited us both to their get-together to eat some funny colorful bread and have a good time. We both thought the other was pretty dang cool and decided to exchange numbers, since we needed a carpool buddy for going to church in a nearby town. Feb 20, 2023 A few months later, we’d had some pretty fun times. Between random orchard photoshoots and text chats, we figured “what the heck” and decided to go on a Valentine’s Day date to boba and Righteous Slice. A couple of days later, after discussing some cute little prodding texts from our “matchmaker” family members, we decided to become a couple. Dec 26, 2023 From then on out, we started to learn more and more about each other and fall more and more in love. We both went through life changes, and relied on each other a lot through all of it. Finally, after Christmas, Elijah finally proposed. After treating Kassie to a Christmas gift of spending a day at the mall and trying on wedding dresses at a bridal store, and having planned out the important details on what to do in the moment, he knew it was time, although the how and when kind of went a little improvised. While waiting for a traffic light on the way into the Galleria Mall parking lot, after finishing at the bridal store, Elijah asked Kassie to get something out of his backpack for him…once she fumbled around, confused as to what he could possibly need from there in the moment, she found the soft box and recognized it as the ring box she had gotten in a jewelry purchase before and which she had given to Elijah..just in case (she was never subtle about wanting to marry him). He asked, and she said yes! We were both over the moon at that moment. Elijah then asked, “can I have a kiss?” To which Kassie said “DUDE the light’s green!! Go!” …we kissed after. March 15, 2024 We can’t wait for the big day! Give us your information and we’ll send out invitation and RSVP’s so that everything is in order.
