On the day before Julia's birthday, the couple met at weekly swing dancing. Elijah introduced himself with a "Hey! You live in my building!". Which Julia's response was, "uh huh"... Shortly after swing ended for quiet hours at the park, Elijah joined Julia and her friends to Wendy's where the group continued to dance in the parking lot for an additional two hours. Around midnight, the two returned to their old apartment building and Elijah asked for Julia's number. Julia then returned to Boise for two weeks the next day, where they texted and video called the whole time, all whilst telling her family "we're just friends, I barely know the guy!". Once Julia returned to Logan, Elijah asked her on the first official date, and later, about a month or so, made it official! Over the next year and a half, the couple lived life alongside each other through cooking, watching star wars, going on walks and so much more. And then on October 24th, 2025, Elijah proposed to Julia on the stage at the park where they first met... And now until death do us part!
