We're Getting Married!

Way back in 2020, Eli and Baylei had an app called Hoop. Hoop was a way to connect with other people all over the world. Eli and Baylei added each other on Snapchat after meeting on Hoop. They talked for a little while, but it wasn’t anything too serious, as Eli lived in Washington and Baylei lived in Wisconsin. Ultimately, the two stopped talking… until a year later. In the summer of 2021, Eli and Baylei’s online paths crossed again! This time, it was more serious as the two got to know each other. Baylei quickly learned that some of Eli’s aunts, uncles, and grandparents lived just ten minutes from where she did. The two talked online until December of 2021, when Eli flew out to visit. The two did long distance for the remainder of their senior years, and Baylei was even able to fly to Washington for senior prom! Once decisions about college were being made, Baylei knew that she’d be going to Grand Canyon University in Arizona. Eli decided that he wanted to follow Baylei wherever she was going and that—even though Arizona was a little too hot for him—he didn’t want to be anywhere she wasn’t. The two spent the past three years at GCU and are now living in Washington, where Baylei is a full-time nanny until she starts her student teaching, and Eli is a server/bartender until his finishes his finance degree!
