EJ and Andrea matched on Coffee Meets Bagel in October 2016. EJ sent Andrea a message saying that he liked the picture with her pug, Turk (RIP). Andrea took four days to respond. On November 21, 2016, they went on their first date at Wine30 in Manhattan, and they were official by January. They bonded over a shared set of values and admired each other's commitments to their careers and passion projects. In the almost 10 years they've been together, they've traveled the world, survived a pandemic, made bold career moves, eaten their way through NYC from City Island to Coney Island, become insufferable dog parents to Lita Rey, and watched an unhealthy amount of Food Network and every season of Love is Blind. EJ proposed to Andrea on June 8, 2024 at the Prime Meridian in Greenwich Park in London, Andrea's favorite city.
