Danny & Elif

Travel

The Wedding Website of Elif Anda and Danny De Leo
Planes, cars, and trains - oh my! Regardless of how you’re planning on getting to Manhattan, we’ve got some details below to help plan your travel:

Travel Note

Parking

If you’re driving in, parking garages may be found as close as 72nd and 73rd off of 5th Avenue (and Elif's trick is using spothero.com to pre-pay and get a lower rate!) However, we suggest using the Metropolitan Museum’s garage at 80th Street and 5th Ave. It’s large so you’ll always find a spot, and it’s open 24 hours! And the Loeb Boathouse shuttle will make a stop here to pick up guests, so it's easy to get straight to the venue doors :)

Shuttle

Shuttle

October 28, 2022 5:30 pm - 12:30 am

The shuttle service will be available at approximately 15 minute intervals to take guests to and from the Boathouse. It will stop at the corner of 72nd St & 5th Avenue, and at 80th St & 5th Avenue, near the Metropolitan Museum’s garage. Look for a shuttle or van with the Boathouse’s name on it!

Flight

Flying

We'll almost always suggest taking a yellow cab, Uber, or Lyft from the airport. If you're flying into JFK, it's a flat rate of $52 + tax & tip. For LaGuardia, it's closer to Manhattan, so it should be about $30-45 + tax & tip. For Newark, you'll have to factor in paying the tolls to/from NJ, so your total may be $100+. There are also AirTrain options from Newark and JFK which are significantly cheaper but more complicated ( switching trains, etc).

Hotel

Hotel

We don’t have any hotel room blocks reserved, so the entire city is your oyster! That being said, if you’d like to be close to the venue, we suggest staying near the Upper East Side or in Midtown, south of Central Park. There are tons of hotels and Airbnb options for all price points! Note: staying on the East side will make it easier to get to and from the venue. There are great options on the West side as well, but your cab ride will be longer.
