How can I avoid altitude sickness?

Answer

Being that Cusco has an altitude of 11,200 feet, some visitors experience mild symptoms of altitude sickness or "soroche". These symptoms can include headache, nausea, and dizziness. Before your travel and on the arrival day itself, avoid eating too much, drink plenty of water, and avoid alcoholic beverages.

Yes, once you book your flights, please send Paola Valderrama the details so she can arrange transportation for you to ensure a seamless travel experience!

Answer

For hotel recommendations and accommodations, please refer to the travel section of our website. We recommend staying at Inkaterra Hacienda Urubamba or Sonesta Hotel Posadas, as both have special discounted prices for our wedding guests. There are limited rooms available so we suggest booking as soon as possible by emailing Paola Valderrama.
