Out of all the exotic, romantic, and adventurous places to find the one... we found each other in Fort Rucker, Alabama. Dripping in sweat, rucking, battling Warrant Officer School, we found each other while finding our points during land navigation (well most of us...LOL). Over the next few weeks, we took any and every opportunity to talk - whether while picking up leaves around the building or studying together- just to see each other. By the time we graduated, we knew we had something special. Though we were moving back to across the country ( Fort Riley, Kansas and Hammond, Louisiana), we knew we had to work to maintain a long distance relationship. Years later, post multiple trips and across country moves, we now find ourselves both happily living in Miami, Florida. We could not be more excited to celebrate the next step in our journey with each of you, who have played (and will continue to play) such an important part in our adventure!

Unsuspected. Beautiful. Amazing. While looking out the Natchez steam boat, smelling the cool air, looking out into the fog in the distance. Jeff turns around and says "I love you", I look up and say the same. I was not expecting to what he was about to do. Very smoothly he pulls away, gets to one knee and in one skilled movement pulls out small black box and in perfect synchronization says "Will you Marry Me?". With tears in my eyes and trembling I say "Yes!" As I write these words, I can't help but close my eyes to re-live the memory of that day. I love Us!
