Some neighborhoods you might like to stay in that are well connected to where the festivities will take place: Clapton, Hackney Central, Dalston and Stoke Newington are all within reasonable walking/bus distance of Hackney Town Hall. If you would prefer something a bit more central, Liverpool Street, Highbury & Islington, Bethnal Green and Camden Road stations all have direct trains to either Hackney Central or London Fields, both of which are very close to the venue. Anything more central than that will require a change of train or a potentially slow Uber.

As far as hotels go, these would be convenient: Hackney Travelodge (budget-friendly), The Town Hall Hotel (high end), The Crown Pub & Guesthouse, The Old Ship (mid-range).
