Three years, countless miles, and one big yes—welcome.

If you ask us when this all started, the real answer might be June 11, 2022, when our friend Anna texted Eli that she had just met his future wife. At the time, Sara didn’t know about that message, and we wouldn’t realize how perfectly it would foreshadow what was coming. A few months later, on October 22, 2022, we met for the first time at Sonny’s. Sara was in town from Chicago for a family event, and Eli had driven up from Memphis for a Titans game. Thanks to Anna, who had quietly orchestrated a “casual” blind setup, one conversation turned into hours, and before we knew it, we were figuring out how to make something work from different cities. Our first official date was a Titans game that November, and by December, things escalated quickly. Eli drove to Chicago to help Sara move back to Nashville (earning major points), and two weeks later, we made things official - then promptly packed up for our next move to Denver for Sara’s travel nursing assignment. The next few years included six months of long distance, a move to Memphis, and eventually finding our way back to Nashville to settle down. In between, there were four major moves, three BBQ Fests, learning how to ski, career changes, and a lot of laughter. On June 11, 2025—three years after that original text—Eli proposed on the beach at Gasparilla Inn, surrounded by Sara’s family. We didn’t realize the date mattered until later, making it the perfect full-circle moment. We’re so excited to celebrate this next chapter with the people who have loved and supported us every step of the way.
