Melissa Winfield

Matron of Honor

I clearly remember being sent to school with messy hair and dancing in carline at the end of the day. After 2 younger brothers, I was finally getting a baby sister! Since she was born, Rebekah has always been a joy to me and to our family. She is easy going, fun loving and ridiculously loyal to all of us. I am so proud of her and know that she will be a wonderful wife and auntie.

Best Man

I'm Eli's older brother. We met the day he was born. One of my memories of when Eli was little was when I would carry him around on my shoulders. I would have been about 12 years old at the time. And for some reason little baby Eli would love to lean over and suck on my ear while we were walking around outside. Piece of advice Eli? You probably won't get the same "how cute" reaction if you do that to Bekah now ;)

Soul sisters. That's how Bekah and I define our relationship, because although we aren't biologically related, we're family. I moved in with the Stoltzfus family in 2009, after having been well vetted by Janette, who wanted to make sure I, a grad student from Ohio, would be a good housemate and fit for her Rebekah. Bekah and I bonded quickly, about our shared introverted personalities, loyalty to our people, and love of snuggle time on the couch while captivated by our favorite shows (shout out to Merlin!). Fourteen years later, we still snuggle on the couch for our weekly dinner and a show nights, and spend hours processing life and love. I have been honored to watch her grow and develop into such a wise, authentic woman, and develop such a loving, intentional relationship with Eli. In 2017, Rebekah was a bridesmaid in my wedding. In 2023, I am excited to share the stage with her once again, this time roles reversed. As I stand with her, I stand in celebration of her and Eli, of who she has grown to be, and of course, of our soul sisterhood, past, present, and future.

I met Eli two years ago and we quickly formed a friendship through bible study, young adults, Frisbee, dinners, and other events. While we don’t have a long history of a friendship, Eli has been one of my closest, and most trusted friends that I have had in my life. From the moment I heard about Bekah, it was clear he was serious about her and you could quickly see their love grow and flourish. It has been my pleasure to call them both my friends and it is my honor to stand with Eli as one of his groomsmen.

I first got to know Rebekah after living in her family’s home as a PsyD student for grad school. From lots of meaningful conversations in the kitchen, to watching cheesy romantic comedies, our friendship grew. As time passed, I moved out, but we continued to stay in contact amidst various moves. The past year and a half we got to live in a girl’s house together and I absolutely loved getting to hangout with this gal day in, day out. Rebekah is a true gem. Words cannot express how much this gal means to me. It has been an honor to walk alongside her as life has transitioned into this new stage. I am excited to see what God has planned for Rebekah and Eli as they take this new step into marriage. I pray for a strong and healthy marriage, with an abundance of joy ahead. I love you both! Congratulations! :)

Groomsman

I met Eli at the Young Adult Ministry at church back in 2019, although we didn't really connect until 2021, when I started going to Eli's Bible study. As a result of that, we started spending a lot more time together. Eli and I have enjoyed hiking, rafting, playing video games, and just talking with each other.

Kylie Stoltzfus

Bridesmaid

I have always known Rebekah to be intentional, thoughtful, and to love her people deeply. My first experience with this, was when she helped her brother Hans (now my husband) plan our first date. She made me a bouquet, planned a scavenger hunt and helped Hans pull off a sweet & meaningful Zoom date, all before she even met me. Since then, I have gotten to experience Rebekah’s encouraging nature and sweet care first hand, as she welcomed me into the Stoltzfus family last year. I have loved cooking and camping and adventuring alongside this woman. It is was an honor to have her stand by me at my wedding & I am overjoyed to stand by her, at hers.

Eli and I have been friends for a very long time, in fact I don’t remember a time when we weren’t friends. We became friends because we met at the church we were both attending but even after that we would always hang out and go to each other’s birthday parties. We were able to go to the same high school together and even though I was super awkward back then (jk I’m still awkward) we would still hang out together. I am so happy for both Eli and Bekah as they step into this lifelong commitment with each other. I know that as Eli has been such a good friend toward me, he’ll be that much greater of a friend toward Bekah.

Annalise Lau

Bridesmaid

Rebekah was my very first friend when I first moved to Oregon at age 2. Throughout elementary school, we told everyone we were twins and were practically inseparable. I cherish all of our yearly family vacations to Black Butte, ski trips, and berry picking. We have walked with each other through joyful times in our lives as well as hard, hard years. Rebekah and I have prayed for years and years that God would bring young men into our lives. When I first saw Eli and Bekah together, I could tell . . . this was it. I have never seen her happier and I am just so excited to see how God blesses them and their future together. Cheers to Bekah and Eli!!

Groomsman

I’ve known Eli since we were about 11, And while I don’t have any siblings I practically considered him a brother growing up. There certainly isn’t anyone outside of my immediate family I’ve spent more time with and enjoyed more memories with over the years. Everything from building forts at canyonview and falling asleep in the hay when we were little, to snowboarding trips, to getting our first cars, to our first motorcycles we always seemed to share the same passions. It’s rare to find a friend like Eli.
