We're Getting Married!

Lauren and Eli met in Boston in the Summer of 2021, through mutual friends. Eli asked Lauren on a first date to watch his beloved Red Sox play the New York Yankees. After spending four hours getting to know each other under the lights of Fenway Park, they both sensed they had something special. By August 8th, it was official—they were a couple. During their first year as a couple, they became intimately familiar with the MBTA as Eli lived in Providence and Lauren lived in Boston’s North End. The two would take the train back and forth to visit each other on a weekly basis. As their love deepened, they decided to rent an apartment together in South Boston in September of 2022. Their “Southie” apartment became their shared home, filled with cozy weekend mornings and Sunday rollerblade strolls. Holidays were spent with each other’s families, and it wasn’t long before both families had become an extension of themselves. In January of 2024 they decided to take another big step and moved to Costa Rica for six months, as both of them had the flexibility to work remotely. Adjusting to a new culture without knowing anyone had its challenges, but they leaned on each other and found joy in this life changing adventure. By the time they returned to Boston, they both knew they’d found their forever person. The Summer after returning from Costa Rica, Eli planned a romantic surprise in Lauren’s favorite place, Nantucket. With family looking on from the bushes, Eli dropped to a knee and asked Lauren to marry him. Their journey continued as they closed on their first home in Marshfield, MA in July of 2024. Their family has grown with the recent adoption of their kittens-- Butter and Noodle. Together, their life has been full of adventure, friendship, and love.
