Where is the wedding taking place?

Answer

Both the ceremony and reception will be held at Union828 in Downtown KCMO.

Question

What time is the ceremony? What time is the reception?

Answer

The ceremony begins at 3:30 pm doors will be locked when it begins. The reception begins at 5 pm

Question

What time should I arrive?

Answer

Doors open at 3pm. We recommend no later than 3:15 pm. You will not be able to enter late!

Question

What is the dress code? What should I wear?

Answer

The dress code for our wedding is semi-formal. We ask that you refrain from wearing black if possible. ABSOLUTELY NO clothing with the main color being reserved for the Bride (i.e white, cream, ivory, off-white).

Will the wedding be indoor or outdoor?

Answer

Our venue is fully indoor for both ceremony and reception.

What should I expect after the ceremony?

Answer

After the ceremony, guests can make their way to the reception area for a cocktail hour while the couple has some time for photos.

Will transportation be provided? Is there easy parking at the venue?

Answer

We are not providing any formal transportation for the event. There is ample parking for those who feel comfortable driving, and Lyft is a great option for those who don’t. Please stay safe and default to a ride service or carpooling if you plan to drink.

Where do I park?

Answer

Please see the "Parking Map" section of our website. All parking at UNION is street parking, as the venue does not have a dedicated parking lot. There is ample street parking directly outside of the venue. There is also a three-story parking garage and several open-air parking lots within a two-block radius of UNION.

How do I RSVP?

Answer

We hope you’ll be able to join us for our big day! When you get the formal invitation you will be able to RSVP on our website. Online RSVP is the ONLY way to RSVP.

When is the RSVP deadline?

Answer

If you do not RSVP by October 16th, 2022 you will no longer be able to attend and won’t be considered a guest at the wedding, no seat or plate.

What should I do if I can’t make it?

Answer

You will be missed! When you get your formal invitation please RSVP “no” as soon as possible so we can plan accordingly.

Can I bring my kids?

Answer

While we love your little ones, our wedding is going to be an adults-only event with the exception of children in the wedding party and babies under 6 weeks old. We appreciate you making arrangements ahead of time and leaving the kids at home so you can celebrate with us.

Can I bring a date?

Answer

Our wedding is strictly RSVP only. We will only be able to accommodate those listed on the invitation.

I can’t attend the wedding in person. Will there be a virtual celebration?

Answer

Unfortunately, we will not be having any virtual celebrations for our event.

Are the ceremony and reception wheelchair accessible?

Answer

Yes, if you are in a wheelchair use the main entrance and someone will come guide you on how to get access!

Will there be an open bar?

Answer

Yes, we will be having an open bar, but the bartender will be accepting cash tips!

Do I need cash?

Answer

Yes! You will need cash to tip the bartenders and for a game that will end with Joelle or Eli having cake smashed in their face.

Will dinner be provided?

Answer

Yes, we will be serving dinner after cocktail hour.

Can I take and post pictures of the wedding on social media?

Answer

We love photos! We do ask that you refrain from taking photos during the ceremony, we’d like that time to be unplugged (meaning no phones or cameras, we hired a pro!). For the rest of the wedding, we encourage guests to take and post pictures.

What COVID health and safety measures will you be taking?

Answer

Getting married in the midst of a global pandemic means that everyone’s health and safety is a top priority for us. At this time, there are no requirements for masks or vaccinations. We will update all of our guests of any changes as they happen.
