We met on a missions trip to Jamaica. Eli was a later addition after randomly reconnecting with Emily’s roommate Jessi. Our first interaction was at 6:00am in the romantic Fort Wayne airport. Eli opened his bag and the entire thing was snacks. Emily said “Oh you got snacks? We’re gonna get along.” Eli thought Emily was very cute and funny. Emily thought Eli was a “conceited jerk”

Eli surprised Emily at the beach in North Carolina while on vacation with her family. The rest of the family knew: Annie almost blew the surprise multiple times. Katie decided she did not like the plan the hour before. Julie sold her performance well by saying things like “well whoever you choose to marry…” Well done Julie. Kelly was unimpressed by the engagement and focused his energy on photo bombs and trying not to think about the cost of the wedding.
