I was the wedding crasher and Eli the uncle of the bride. Who would have thought that two strangers would go the distance and become each other's forever? I am so glad I gave him my number and asked him to call me when ever he was back in town. He called that same night to tell me he was in town :). We quickly realized that we were better together and that the distance between San Jose and Sacramento was no match for what was meant to be. Traveling, our favorite thing to do together, has led us to experience new places, people and cultures. Being engaged during a world wide pandemic helped us discover that together we can face anything and reminded us the importance of pausing to enjoy the magic that simple moments hold.
San Sebastian, Spain I had been planning this moment for so long and knowing we had an upcoming vacation in Europe which seemed like the perfect place to ask this beautiful soul to become my wife. As we began our travels through Europe I tried to find the perfect moment to ask for her hand in marriage but never seemed to be the right time or place. As she will tell you I was so uptight and annoying the first part of our vacation little did she know I was carrying the beautiful engagement ring I had bought her just praying I would not lose it! Then as we traveled across Europe made a stop in the beautiful city of San Sebastian, Spain I knew this would be the place I would ask the love of my life to become my bride. I always imagined it being in front of friends and family but just taking that moment to be alone together wandering around the gorgeous beachside I knew it was time for her to become my forever life partner. Here is to a lifetime of love and happiness with the one person that has filled my heart with so much love and joy!
