Zuma Beach A classic Malibu beach with wide sandy shores, great for a morning walk, a quick dip, or just soaking in the ocean breeze. It’s a bit of a hidden gem down a staircase, so wear good shoes! Address: 32350 Pacific Coast Highway, Malibu, CA 90265 Point Dume Nature Preserve A short, scenic hike with sweeping coastal views. You might even spot dolphins or sea lions! Address to (limited) parking lot: 29245 Cliffside Dr, Malibu, CA 90265 Malibu Pier A quintessential California experience. Stroll the pier, grab a coffee or a bite, and take in the views.

Prince Street Pizza One of our absolute favorites in Malibu. The spicy pepperoni square is unmatched—crispy edges, just the right kick, and pure comfort in every bite. Lily's Malibu A beloved local spot known for its legendary breakfast burrito—packed with eggs, beans, cheese, bacon, and homemade verde sauce. Famed as one of the best in LA. A casual, no-frills experience that’s full of flavor. Malibu Country Mart A chic outdoor shopping and dining area with a variety of casual eats, coffee shops, and boutiques. Malibu Seafood An iconic, casual seafood shack with ocean views and outstanding fish and chips. Bring your own beverage (BYOB), grab lunch outside, and take in the surf-scented air. The Country Kitchen Surf break–style breakfast burritos are the stars here. A local favorite for post-surf or early morning eats. Order at the window and enjoy a hearty, budget-friendly meal.

Outdoor Adventures and Hikes

Los Leones Trail Distance: ~4.5 miles roundtrip Elevation Gain: ~1,200 feet Time: 2–2.5 hours What to expect: A steady, shaded climb through lush canyon greenery that opens up to sweeping ocean views near the top. Peaceful, scenic, and a local favorite for sunrise or sunset hikes. Solstice Canyon Loop Length: ~3 mi loop Elevation Gain: ~600 ft Why it's great: Easy-to-moderate, family-friendly trail through shaded oaks, leading to the ruins of Roberts Ranch House, a grotto, and waterfall. Zuma Ridge Trail Type: Out-and-back | Length: ~5.6 miles Difficulty: Moderate Trailhead: Zuma Ridge Trailhead, Bonsall Dr off Pacific Coast Hwy, Malibu, CA 90265 Best for: Coastal canyon views, quiet wide trails, and trail running Ray Miller Out-and-Back Distance: ~5 miles roundtrip Elevation Gain: ~800 feet Time: 2–2.5 hours What to expect: Gentle climb with beautiful sea breezes. Perfect photo ops overlooking the Pacific. Turn around at the top ridge and return the same way
