We met in middle school 7th grade. We didn’t really talk with each other until 8th grade year, and we instantly clicked. Every day since then, both of us felt an inexplainable joy every time we hung out with each other. What started as mere friendship slowly turned into stolen glances. Both of had convinced ourselves we were straight, but as time moved on, there was an undeniable spark between us. We convinced ourselves that we were just friends. That is until September 11th, we had a sleep over. That night, everything changed. Light conversations turned heavy, and the air was tense. Both of us realized we were gay for each other after that night. About a week later, we could no longer accept that we were just friends. It was clear that we loved each other romantically. Ever since then, we have been with each other throughout all of high school and college. Now we are proud to announce we are getting married and plan to adopt a child.
