Amber Follin

Bride

She tracked one of her students to my tutoring hours, and I tried my best not embarrass myself when she arrived. Luckily, she has never held my failures against me, and let me keep embarrassing myself until I got the courage to ask her out. Amber is an incredible and driven person and has continually made me a better person. I have known for a long time that I wouldn't want to spend my life with anyone else, and through all that we will go through in these years to come there is no one better to spend it with than my best friend and most brilliant woman I know. -Eli

Eli Prater

Groom

We met during tutoring hours (and no - he wasn't teaching me physics; we were both teaching the same student); we bonded over start trek, and now our time together has blossomed into a love taller than any Redwood West of the Mississippi. During the past two years, Eli has not only grown to be my best friend, but he has been my support network when I felt like giving up, the closest person at my bedside when I was ill, and my my better looking other half. All of the spontaneous trips, late night movies, and pizza roll/wine combos truly solidified this relationship into something that I could have never imagined. - Amber

Heidi Follin

Mother of the Bride

My momma. Meine mutti. Ma mere. There is nothing I can say to express how thankful I am for the woman who raised me. Her strength is truly inspiring and something to look up to. Every family has their ups and downs, but she never let hers stay down for long. She has done everything she can to help her children succeed, and for that she should be proud. Momma, you are beautiful, strong, and incredibly powerful. I love you.

Barbara Prater

Mother of the Groom

My mother has always been there for me. She has never ceased to ensure that we are making the best out of any situation and looking for the silver lining. No matter what she encourages me to look forward, too see how a bad situation can be turned around or how a good situation can be made better. My mom has always inspired me to push myself and for that, I am forever grateful.

Evan Terrell

Brother of the Bride

The bubs. My earliest memories of my brother are as a young girl when I wanted to play tag with him and his cool teenager friends. When I tried to join, he and his friends climbed up the tree where I couldn't reach them, forcing me to saunter off on my own. That being said, nothing has changed. He still gives me noogies. He still wrestles me to the ground. He still treats me like a ten-year-old little girl; but if he didn't, he wouldn't be my super cool older brother. Thanks, bubs, for always being that cool older brother who knows everything about anything and giving me the strength to fight back.

Ralph Prater

Father of the Groom

My dad has always been strong figure in my life. For as long as I can remember he as always instilled within me a strong work ethic and a good sense of humor. He always has a good joke ready and is always willing to help out a stranger in need. My dad has always played a special role in my life and always will.

Clara Renae Follin

Maid of Honor

Schwista. My little baby sister is all grown up now, but she still looks this age in my eyes. We grew up side-by-side and inseparable, however college has pulled us apart. While I forsee busy lives ahead for us, I am glad that my sister will stand by my side on the day of my wedding - and hopefully will stay nearby through life. No matter how far I go or how many jobs she has, I know that we will always stay close. I pray for many more late night coffees, silly pillow forts and spontaneous pedicure dates. I love you little tot!

Alec Boothe

Groomsman

You know, I don’t even remember when we met, it may not have been that long ago, but it feels like forever. We only met in high school, but it didn’t take long to make one of the best friends I’ve ever had. He’ll always keep you on your toes and make sure you’re paying attention. He was even willing to listen to me ramble on about random physics topics from time to time. After we left for separate colleges it has always been clear that no matter how much time goes by, I could never doubt what a friend I will have in Alec.

Rebecca Schmidt

Bridesmaid

Oh Becca, what to say. Becca was my bestest bus buddy for four years on the BC Women's soccer team. Full of snickering, laughter, secrets and sleeping, Becca knows my life forwards and backwards. A CFS major at Berea, she swears to take care of my children when the day comes, but my days of having her as a roommate tell me that she would spoil that child too much. She's beautiful, she's bold, she's a blessing. She's Becca.

Axel Perez

Groomsman

There is never a dull moment around this man. As much as I enjoyed the physics of Intro Physics, I don’t think it would have quite been the same class without him. Whether you're laughing with him, at him, or even at yourself, he’s never in a bad mood. It may take a long time to get anything done, but there is no doubt you will have a good time doing it. Axel has turned many of my frowns upside down. If he doesn’t make you laugh, he’ll impress you on the dance floor. Just don’t let him steal the spotlight.

Lauren Padgett

Bridesmaid

I can’t believe it has already been 4 years since we met on the quad for Dr. Guthman’s class, eager and ready to learn about Puritan society. 2 1/2 years of living together and 4 years of being doppelgängers, there is no one who knows me better. Lauren is a kind-hearted, beautiful young woman with a passive aggressive side; basically me but an education major. She’s one of my best friends. She’s perfect in every way. She’s Lauren.
