We Found Our Happily Ever After

Iggy and Elena had a true covid relationship. It all began with a swipe of a screen in the summer of 2020 during the peak of the Covid era. If there was one thing Elena hated, it was dating apps. She thought they were cheesy and weird and swore she’d never EVER join one. Well, was she proved so wrong! Back in June 2020 on a random day, she impulsively decided to join Hinge. While not expecting anything to come of it and planning on deleting the app, she decided to give it a try. She set her location to Philly and began to swipe. While not impressed by many of the eligible (or not so) bachelors on Hinge, she still held out hope. One day, a tan, dark haired guy named Ignacio popped up on her screen. After a few seconds of looking and thinking, she swiped left (oh no!)!! Iggy, on the other hand, would know at first glance. Little did she know, he would be back…. A few days later, she got a notification she had new matches. When she went to look through, who was there, but Ignacio! She recognized him immediately and this is when he caught her eye. After looking on his profile and seeing he went to Drexel for Engineering, she began her FBI search. See, she had a friend who was an engineer at Drexel too so she was intrigued by the possibility they may know each other. So she decided to give him a shot. They began their conversation with talking about greek life, school, if Iggy knew her friend and more. From that day, they were in constant communication and not a day went by without talking to one another. After much push from Iggy and anxiety from Elena about meeting in person, they finally met up. After a few dates, the first of which Iggy allegedly did not speak (which didn’t scare Elena off), he invited her to a party at his house. At this party, on September 18th after a few shots of liquid courage, Iggy asked Elena to be his girlfriend (if you’re wondering, yes, he cried). The moment Iggy knew she was it was when he wanted to “just be friends” because he was moving back to Philly which was “far” 🙄😂, and Elena called one day to fight for him and convince him this was worth it. 2 years later on September 18, 2022 in Elena’s favorite place in the world, a blazing hot, cloudy, Elena sick with probable covid, WDW Magic Kingdom Park, Iggy popped the question. And that my friends, began our Happily Ever After. 🤍
