Elena and Bradley met on a dating app, with their first conversation centered around their quarter-life crises. On the one-year anniversary of their first date, Elena and Bradley returned to Barnes & Noble where it all began. They sat at the same table, ordered the same drinks, and browsed the books, reflecting on their first date and everything they had experienced together over the past year. After a casual lunch at Papa Gino’s, Elena was certain the proposal wasn’t happening that day, despite previously feeling it might—until Bradley said to buckle up for an adventure! He drove them to the lake down the road from Elena’s house, and they strolled down to the frozen water. After a few moments taking in the view, Bradley revealed the ring hanging on a chain around his neck, got down on one knee (in the snow), and asked Elena to marry him. This was the lake where Bradley first asked Elena to be his girlfriend, and now it is also where he asked Elena to be his wife.
