A sweet story of how a Pennsylvania boy with a heart of gold swept a California girl off her feet to their happily ever after... Bride's Perspective: Phillip and I first matched on the dating app called Hinge. At the time I was still living in California and relocating to Allentown four months later. On the app, you are only allowed one rose a week to give to one special match. For the first time Phil used his rose on me with his own original line, "I'll give you this rose now just as a place holder until I can give you real roses". As time when on and our lives got the best of us, we reconnected three months later again but this time on two different dating apps. At that point we knew it was fate for us to meet in person. Cut to the first date at Pints and Pies in Easton, PA. To start off the night, I almost ran Phil over in the street on his way in. Thankfully I didn't yell out the window at him (or at least he didn't hear me)! The first time I saw him in person, I could feel the love and warmth radiating off of him. I knew I was home in his eyes. We had such an amazing time at Pints just talking and getting to know each other and not keeping track of how much I drank. Being the lightweight that I am, I drank way too much. But thankfully I was in the safety of such a gentleman such as Phil. We had gone to a second bar to continue our date and meet some of his friends. Long story short I made a fool of myself but successfully making him laugh and have the most memorable first date. On our second date Phil brought me the roses he had promised me all those months ago when we first laid eyes on each other's photos. We shared yet another amazing date creating memories and falling in love. By the third date we ended up in Atlantic city for the night partying with his Aunt Robin and Uncle Corey. They knew from the first time meeting me that I'd be the one for him. It was on this date Phil had told me he had given up the dating sites in order to focus only on our growing relationship, I quickly agreed and now it feels like the rest is history! Our journey together has truly felt like a fairytale. How many people can say they married their soulmate.

The summer we first started dating, we found ourselves in Ocean City, Maryland with our close friends. On this trip we really connected and knew we wanted a future together. That day we had rented a boat all together and set sail for the day. Phil volunteered to be our Captain so we could all continue to enjoy ourselves. Then it was off to Phillip's Seafood and Steak house where we had THE BEST SEAFOOD OF YOUR LIFE and such a romantic dinner just the two of us. I could tell he had something on his mind but he wanted to wait for the right moment for those three words. After dinner we had met up with the group again for karaoke. Well if you know me you know how much I love to get up in sing. In a crowded bar I sang his favorite song Colt 45. The bar went nuts and he was out the screaming and cheering me on. Once we escaped the crowded bar we walked along the beach and star gazed. When he worked up the courage to say it he blurted it out so fast I couldn't hear what he said!! I asked him to say it again. He said, "my friends love you, my family loves you, and I love you." I don't think I said it so fast back! Truthfully, I was in love since the second date! I was willing to wait and bite my tongue until the right time. This all took place about a month into dating. In another short month he was moving into my apartment in Allentown. Here we are two years later committing to forever together. I couldn't be happier. I am so truly blessed to have found my soulmate. Who knew he was just on the other side of the country!
