We’re having a wedding…finally!

We met on a dating app called “Coffee Meets Bagel” back in the summer of 2018. The interaction started when we matched and Adam reached out with the first message. His charm landed him a first date on June 23rd; a week after we had started messaging. We met in front of the Washington Monument in DC- which became the designated meeting place for the following 2 dates- and we went out for tacos. Our relationship grew as time went on and we fell in love. Elena was in her last year of college and we lived about an hour away from each other, so many months were spent driving to one another in between jobs, classes, and homework. Adam even spent several days in Elena’s work studio “helping” (some would call napping) her with her thesis projects. All the hard work paid off when she graduated, and as a celebration we went to France! It was on this vacation that we made a stop in Giverny to visit the home and gardens of Claude Monet. This trip was special because Elena had always wanted to visit the home of her favorite artist and it was Adam’s first time traveling to Europe. However, it was made even more special because on May 23rd, 2019, Adam proposed! He stood behind Elena as they looked at the famous water lily bridge and when he asked her to turn around he was on one knee with a beautiful ring in his hand. He was so nervous he was shaking! Elena was suprised and said “Stop lying! Are you serious?!” and Adam laughed. At this moment, people started to walk towards us and, being very shy people, we got nervous, so Adam shot up to a standing position and blurted “Yes I am, now just say yes already!”. Elena finally came to her senses and said yes. Now we get to share our story and our future with you all; our friends and family, the most important people in our lives.
