What is there to do at Cypress Gardens?

Answer

Cypress Gardens has many walking paths, a reptile exhibit, a bird exhibit, and more. There will be some time to explore the park between the ceremony and reception. You are also welcome to arrive early to explore the park beforehand.

Is there a dress code?

Answer

The dress code is "Garden Party", but this should not be a point of stress. Mainly, wear something you think looks good and that you're comfortable in. Please note that the ceremony is outdoors and that there is a walk between the ceremony and reception. *If Joe told you this is a Shrek themed event, please note that information is incorrect.

Is there transportation to and from the hotels to the ceremony?

Answer

A shuttle is provided from the Doubletree hotel located at 7401 Northwoods Blvd. North Charleston. SHUTTLES TO Cypress Gardens depart at 1:15, and again at 2:15. We recommend going early to have more time to explore the park venue. SHUTTLES FROM Cypress Gardens depart at 10 and 11.

Is there a price for admission to the park?

Answer

Park admission is free for wedding guests. Please follow the signs to the ceremony!

The venue has free parking for guests of the ceremony.

Should I watch any movies to prepare for the event?

Answer

That's a great question, thanks for asking. Both "The Patriot" and "The Notebook" were filmed at our venue, Cypress Gardens. Watching either film will give you a sneak peak into the venue. The gardens also heavily features swamp flora and fauna. We believe your appreciation for the environment would be amplified by watching Shrek.

What if I have dietary restrictions?

Dinner will be buffet style. We have worked to develop an inclusive menu, however, if you have strict dietary restrictions, please plan accordingly.
