The Ceremony

May 9, 2020

We would like to virtually invite you to our wedding ceremony. Please feel free to relive the big day with us through the recording of the livestream below! https://live.eventlive.pro/giacomazzi2020/max-and-eleanor-wedding

How It All Began

A couple weeks into the Spring semester of Sophomore year, Max saw Eleanor sitting in the front of his Macroeconomics class and thought she was pretty cute. While he normally wouldn’t sit in the front, he made an exception. Throughout the semester, they solved all of the group problems together and one day Max asked her for her number in case he “needed help studying." Just a couple days later, Eleanor saw his awesome dance moves and snazzy outfit at the Denim on Denim dance and couldn’t wait for him to “need help studying”. When he asked her on their first date a few short days later, saying yes was a no brainer.

She Said “Of Course!!"

On Easter weekend, Max pulled Mr. and Mrs. Järlsjö aside and asked them if he could have their daughter’s hand in marriage. Mrs. Järlsjö immediately responded “Of course” and from that moment, the wheels were set in motion. Then he picked out the perfect ring and the very next week, he got down on one knee and asked Eleanor if she would marry him. She was so excited when she saw him kneel down, that she hardly heard what he said, but all she could say in response was “Of course!!”

Our Trip through Europe

A Travel Story

Some of Max and Eleanor’s favorite memories are of their travels together. In their Spring semester of Junior year, Max was studying abroad in London. Although the distance was tough, they looked forward every day to their Spring break trip together. Eleanor flew to meet Max in London with a full itinerary, print outs of all their flight and hotel information, and a whole lot of excitement! It was a whirlwind trip. They started in Paris, where they went to a sommelier-guided wine tasting and learned how much they loved enjoying wine together. Then they went to the small city of Lille where they learned that everything in France is closed on a Tuesday, but they don’t need more than each others’ company to have a wonderful time exploring a new city. They then made their way to Florence where they discovered many loves for massive Florentine steaks, lomperdotto sandwiches, a traditional apertivo, and walking through the historic streets without a care in the world. Before heading back to London for the return flight, Max and Elanor strolled through the streets of Milan and dreamed about how wonderful it might be to work in Italy for a couple of years. When they got back to London, they decided that maybe in the future, they should stick to just one or two countries per week, but they always want to have that much fun.
