Fr. Peter will lead a welcome Mass at Villanova to kick off the wedding weekend. This is an optional event, but everyone is welcome to attend! Please come in church-appropriate attire.
8:00 pm - 10:30 pm
For those getting into town the night before, come celebrate with us at Rosalie in downtown Wayne! We’ll have an open bar and a few light bites until 10:30 PM. Recommended dress is smart casual: Pants or trousers with a collared shirt, as well as dresses, skirts, jumpsuits, or dressier pants are all great options. The restaurant is about a 5-minute drive from the Courtyard Marriott, where most guests are staying, and there’s a big parking lot right next to the restaurant. Ubers and Lyfts are also easy to get in the area.
4:30 pm - 11:00 pm
The ceremony will begin at 5:00 PM, but live music and non-alcoholic welcome beverages will start at 4:30 PM. We recommend arriving between 4:30 and 4:45 PM and being seated by 4:45 PM to enjoy everything before the ceremony begins! Dinner and dancing will follow in a tented and air-conditioned pavilion.
Formal attire— tuxes, suits, gowns, and cocktail dresses! For dresses, please avoid white, ivory, or cream. Since the ceremony and cocktail hour will be on the grass, block or wedge heels are recommended instead of stilettos. We also suggest bringing a light wrap or jacket for when the sun goes down. Two 50-person buses will run between Anthony Wayne House and the Courtyard by Marriott Devon-Villanova. Buses will depart the Marriott at 4:10 PM, 4:15 PM, and 4:30 PM to take guests to the wedding. At the end of the night, buses will depart Anthony Wayne House at 9:30 PM, 10:00 PM, and 10:30 PM. For guests staying until closing time, two buses will depart at 11:00 PM. For guests who prefer to drive, a gravel parking lot is available at Anthony Wayne House for parking at no cost.
