Donovan's POV I met Eleanor while working on a retreat for the Archdiocese of Vancouver, back in 2019. It took a while for us to notice each other, but we appreciated each other's teamwork and dedication right form the start. A few years later, in the spring of 2022, we started getting closer over Wordle, replying to each others' Instagram stories, and hanging out after her shifts at the Surrey Prado Cafe. After a few months, I took a chance one day and asked Eleanor out after her shift. Our first date was May 29, 2022. We knew right from the start where we wanted the relationship to go. After a year and a half of dating, I surprised Eleanor back at the location of our first date and asked her to marry me. She thought it was a prank until we booked the wedding venue a few weeks later. Hopefully, making this wedding website has convinced Eleanor that we are, in fact, getting married. Eleanor's POV I first met Donovan in 2019 during his interview for an Archdiocesan retreat where I was compelled by his spiritual maturity and knowledge of the faith. After losing touch for a few years, we reconnected at a CCO Summit after which I noticed that he would send me his daily Wordle results as a way to start conversations. We getting to know each other better as friends, and he would frequently stop by my work to visit. Following work one day, Donovan asked me out on a date to which I responded with asking if we could go for a walk. I fired dozens of difficult questions over the span of 9km then I asked for 9 days to give a response. A novena later and many conversations with close family and friends, I accepted the date. While we weren't able to go on our date for a whole month, during that time we grew in friendship and my appreciation and admiration for him also grew. We had the best first date ever (featuring me catching him do a happy dance after dropping me home), and a year and a half later on October 20, 2023 he proposed to me at the spot of our first date, and the rest is history!
