Her version: Our story began back in the fall of 2019. We met in October through the traditional way of modern couples: on our cell phones, matching up on a dating app called ‘Coffee Meets Bagel’! Dating in NYC is fun, but it’s also difficult and downright exhausting. Having gone on numerous dates with duds and trolls, I was ready to hit the brakes - but one last bagel slipped through (David, as you can guess). The text conversation started off normally… except it took on average 10 hours for David to respond (he’s slightly better now) and before long, the chat box was about to close after a week. In order to save the conversation, I gave him my phone number in case he wanted to continue chatting (to this day he thinks I made the first move and asked him out). After a very long month of texting back and forth, we finally made it to the first date – and happily, many, many more afterwards. His version: Eleanor and I met on the internet…Coffee Meets Bagel to be specific. I had finally begun taking online dating seriously and putting my full effort into it, where she was finally getting fed up with it. I was the last chance she was going to give it. I found a very nice wine bar I liked for our first date and thought it would be a nice, non intimidating night for the two of us. I arrived first, then in she came. She looked fantastic. One of the first things she says is she doesn't drink…fail (recall we're at a wine bar). I'd like to think I recovered well as we had a great night and the rest was a resounding pandemic of success. Milestone after milestone with our relationship getting stronger and stronger…first trip together, first time out of the country together, first apartment together, ENGAGED! Just a few more of the most important to go…wedding, netflix password, honeymoon… EL Edit: Yeah I still don't have the password
