By chance the couple met at a planning meeting for a furry convention. They both knew the lead organizer who invited Tessa to have fun and Brandon to be a part of the planning. While there Tessa's correct age came out and casual conversation led to their first game together, Carcassonne. After the main event, the group went out to IHOP where the bride and groom got to know each other a bit more.
Another chance meet up, the Tessa Kitty was at Visioncon 2012 and was all dressed up for the weekend. At such point the duo had met only a month or so before, showing that she had skills and talent. Needless to say, Doggo was impressed, even if he wasn't single at the time.
For the last month Brandon and Tessa had been having fun spending time together. Using his internet, staying the night at each other's places. After a while however a decision was to be made and Brandon spoke up that the last month had been fun, but he was looking for more then what he was used to. So they made it officially steady on June 1st 2012.
Shortly after the passing of a family cat, when the couple where living with Brandon's mom, getting their finances to the point of an apartment, they made the decision to get a new to them kitty for the household, whom just didn't get along with the mother's dog, and came with them upon moving to the first apartment.
First it was Minecraft, lots and lots of Minecraft, then borderlands, and then more borderlands. These days they don't get the time to play together quite as often, but the love with things like Fallout 4, Hyrule Warriors, Breath of the Wild, and We Happy Few are among the things they know they both can enjoy playing together or watching the other play. Kitty has a sharp eye for detail and hidden things. 😼 Doggo likes to smash.
They don't always communicate, and don't always see eye to eye, and yes they have had a share of fights. The biggest was during the first years in the apartment, on Brandon's Birthday, when he was working Walmart overnights full time, and Tessa was still in school and had to go to work. This day didn't end well but it gave them a lot to look back on, and a question of what to look forward to as well. Needless to say, they worked it out and are now getting married *gasp*.
For Christmas one year, Tessa's mom gifted the monies they would need to add Molly to the apartment lease, and they've had her, and her loud mouth ways, ever since. She may be an aging cat, and some of this may be medically related, but they love her still. Brandon wishes she was a bit more quiet though, especially when trying to sleep.
They made the leap to a house of their own in October of 2015. It's been a life building adjustment, getting an actual couch, and fridge, and kitchen table, along with a wall of pop figs. On to the second roommate and making things work, the next step would be a house of their own, with a mortgage! Oh, and they did add another thing as well....
This under fed fluff-ball, was found around their first October in the house, and while they tried to say no, they couldn't say no, especially when she showed back up cold and wet. She came in, and went back out, and the second time she came in, after thanksgiving and she stayed forever and ever.
Before this day hints were dropped that with the completion of her Masters degree another decision was soon to be made. What else is a man to do when he loves the girl, has the ring, has the sign done early, and... can't... wait... any... longer... for... an... anniversary! In his defense he was told it couldn't be the July 4th vegan anniversary, and has never been good with surprises.
Brandon would draw, and both agree, some of the early stuff looked like copied riff raff. However, lately Brandon's been showing signs of improvement after advice from several artists resonated with him on how he could improve. Since then Tessa has noted the extra amount of time Brandon has put into his art pieces and Tessa likes it, and so does Brandon.
