We’re getting married!

We met in high school! We had tons of mutual friends and crossed paths a few times before we finally started hanging out... Back in high school, our church would always go to a summer camp at Hume Lake (think gorgeous lake, no cell service, and lots of outdoor activities). The summer before junior year, we and many of our mutual friends were going to camp and we all ended up hanging out the entire week. After camp, we kept those friendships strong throughout summer and into the school year. That group hung out 24/7 and I always noticed Jacob was so much fun but never really thought about dating him. Fast forward about a year and we were inseparable. We had grown so much in our friendship during our junior year of high school and went into the summer with lots of plans- beach camping, Disneyland, etc. Looking back, my feelings for Jacob definitely started that summer. Even so, we didn't label anything quite yet. It was time to head back to school for our senior year and soon enough, it was time for homecoming. We went to the dance together and shortly after Jacob told me his feelings for me and took me on our first "official" date at the pumpkin patch which was so much fun! What I love about our story is that it's rooted in friendship. We didn't rush into a relationship and that has been one of the best decisions we've made and has paid off in many ways. We've truly been inseparable since the summer of 2013 and have made the absolute best memories over the years. We are best friends and cannot wait to tie the knot in March!
