To our family and friends: We all know what is going on in the world right now. There are many unknowns. There are so many different perspectives, experiences, fears, anxieties, and challenging circumstances that we are all facing to some degree. We want you, as our invited guests, to have the freedom to make whatever choice is right for you when it comes to attending our wedding. We do not want you to feel pressured or the need to explain your decision to us. We completely understand; your well-being, in all areas of life, deeply matters to us. WEDDING UPDATE!!! Our wedding ceremony and reception will now take place at an outdoor location on August 1st in the beautiful backyard of the home and offices of EG Stoltzfus in Lancaster. It will no longer take place indoors at SUPPLY in Manheim as indicated on the invitation. In order to assist us in planning at this new venue, we are asking everyone to RSVP as soon as possible (using the tab above), rather than by the pre-printed RSVP date of July 1 on the invitation. Thank you! We will communicate to all who indicated an RSVP of "Yes" with additional information in July when we have a better idea of what the restriction on the size of gatherings in PA will be for our wedding. Our prayer is to be able to accommodate everyone who wants to attend, but please understand that that might not be able to happen. We truly appreciate your understanding and flexibility as we continue to plan for our very special day! <3

The church they are both involved in was producing a dance/spoken word video based on the story of Exodus in the Bible. Sarah was one of the dancers in the video and Jesse tagged along to shoot some behind the scenes photos. Jesse caught Sarah's eye and she was intrigued by his quiet, gentle spirit and his creativity. She started inviting him to group hangouts as a regional young adult gathering called TWLV was being birthed. Sarah was in charge of space design for the monthly gatherings and she invited Jesse along to their infamous IKEA trip to get a boat load of supplies and decor for the gatherings. It was that car ride that Jesse peaked an interest in Sarah. One night in the middle of January 2018, Sarah and Jesse left a night out in town with friends with Sarah's best friend Laura. They went back to her apartment, chowed down some pizza, and Laura, being a good wing woman, vanished to go to bed. Sarah and Jesse spent the ENTIRE NIGHT talking about anything and everything until all of a sudden it was 7:30 in the morning. They've been steady ever since!

Fast forward two years later. Sarah was picked up early on a Saturday morning by her friend Brenna to scope out the location that the Exodus video was filmed for the January 2020 TWLV gathering. Sarah knew that we were still on the search for a venue and didn't think anything of it. We were scoping out the hangar when Brenna asked to have the garage door open. After the garage door was completely opened, Jesse walked in from the side and got down on one knee after wiping some tears and Sarah saying "I'm so confused" a thousand times! We took some pictures and then headed to his brother and sister-in-law's studio where they were greeted by close friends and family. It was the best Saturday morning ever.
