FAQs

The Wedding Website of Marissa Hettel and Broderick Elder
We’ve included answers to some frequently asked questions to make things simple and stress-free. Take a look here before the big day — chances are we’ve covered it.
Question

How/when do I rsvp?

Answer

You can RSVP on this very website - just look at the top of the screen. Please send us your acceptances or regrets by October 17th.

Question

What should I do if I cannot make it?

Answer

You will be missed! If you cannot attend our wedding, please indicate your regrets on our RSVP tab so we can plan accordingly.

Question

What if I don't RSVP in time?

Answer

If we do not get an RSVP back by October 17th, it will be marked as a "No". We will miss celebrating with you, however, we have to provide guest counts to our vendors in a timely manner. We cannot accept late RSVPs. (This means you are not allowed to show up to our special day. There will be no seating, food, or beverage accommodations for you.)

Question

Can I bring a Date or a Plus One?

Answer

We can only accommodate those guests formally invited on your wedding invitation. If you receive a plus one, it will appear on your invite and during the RSVP process. We appreciate your understanding.

Question

Are kids invited?

Answer

We love your little ones! However, we have decided to keep our wedding and reception an 13+ event with the exception of the young children in the bridal party. We encourage you to use this evening as a date night!

Question

Can I change my RSVP after I submit?

Answer

Things happen - we get it! Just reach out as soon as you can so we can plan accordingly.

Question

What do I wear?

Answer

We'd love to see our family and friends get dressed up for our big day. Dress code is semi-formal attire. Semi-formal wedding attire strikes a balance between elegant and comfortable, sitting between cocktail and business casual. Guests should wear knee-length or longer dresses, dressy jumpsuits, or tailored suits with ties being optional. Please avoid shades of white and beige.

Question

What colors are the bridal party wearing?

Answer

The bridesmaids will be wearing a mix of mulberry, sage green, and espresso brown. The groomsmen will be wearing dark navy suits.

Question

What time should I arrive at the ceremony?

Answer

We kindly ask all guests to arrive by 3:30p to find their seats and settle in. The ceremony will begin promptly at 4:00p, and we wouldn't want you to miss a single moment. (Plus, who doesn't love a little pre-wedding anticipation?)

Question

Where should I park?

Answer

The parking guide can be viewed on the venue website at chapteriievents.com

Are the ceremony and reception at the same location?

No, the ceremony will be taking place at The Chapel Church and the reception will be at Chapter II Events. Both addresses can be found on the Wedding Events tab.

Answer

The wedding ceremony and reception will both take place indoors. Please note: it is December and there will be a short walk/drive to the reception space. Make sure to bring layers in case of cold weather.

Will there be a bar?

Answer

There is a bar! We are currently working on coordinating the details for the bar but will update this answer as soon as we have it!

Answer

We'd love it if you avoided white, ivory, or anything that resembles white.

Room block information can be located on the "Where to Stay" tab, as well as other accommodations near the venue.
