Whether you're there for the rides, the craft beer flights, or just to say you tried something called "Hot Dish on a Stick," the fair is an iconic Minnesota experience that we highly recommend. So bring your stretchy pants, your curiosity, and your appetite—and consider this your official invitation to join the other 2 million visitors who make the pilgrimage each year. Mall of America®
If shopping (or indoor roller coasters) are your thing, the Mall of America is a must-see. It’s the largest mall in the country, with hundreds of stores, tons of restaurants, an aquarium, and even a full theme park in the middle. Whether you're browsing, riding, or just people-watching, it's a one-of-a-kind experience—and only in Minnesota!
Mill City Farmers Market
If you’ve ever wondered what it’s like to see Minnesotans willingly wake up early and be cheerful about it, the Mill City Farmers Market is your chance. It’s just a quick stroll from the hotel. Expect fresh produce, local treats, and an impressive number of people who say “ope!” while trying not to bump into each other.
Minnehaha Falls
If you’re looking to stretch your legs and soak in some natural beauty while you're in town, we highly recommend a visit to Minnehaha Falls. This stunning 53-foot waterfall is tucked right into the heart of Minneapolis and surrounded by scenic trails, limestone bluffs, and picturesque picnic spots. It’s the perfect spot for a morning stroll, photos, or just a peaceful moment away from the wedding bustle. Bonus: there's even a seasonal seafood shack nearby if you're craving fish tacos with your waterfall view!
Minneapolis Sculpture Garden
Art lovers will love the Minnesota Sculpture Garden, home to the famous Spoonbridge and Cherry—a giant spoon with a cherry on top that’s basically a Minneapolis icon. It’s a fun and walkable outdoor art space perfect for a relaxing afternoon stroll, photo ops, or just pretending you’re tiny next to oversized silverware. Definitely worth a visit while you're in town!
Science Museum of Minnesota
Looking for something fun and interactive? The Science Museum of Minnesota in St. Paul is a local favorite. From dinosaurs and hands-on experiments to an awesome view of the Mississippi River, it’s perfect for curious minds of all ages. Bonus: there's a giant astronaut and a 3-story tornado.
